In 2009, Frank Douglas gave me a crash course in the development of government proposals. It was quite different from publishing environments I was used to. However, the people I meet and the subject matter dealt with make it an exciting arena to work within.
I support proposal efforts with desktop publishing and the development of graphics. Phone: 804.687.5269 Email: martyrhodes@verizon.net |

Principal at Frank Douglas Consulting (FDCON) |
Marty is a skilled graphic artist and desktop publisher; he has worked on Government proposals for several Fortune 500 companies. I have worked with him on multiple large-scale proposals over the last three years. On each, he turned complex technical concepts into graphics that communicate to both engineers and executives. His interpersonal skills enable him to interact with authors, subject matter experts, and business development staff to generate proposal graphics with compelling messages. In addition, Marty generated the proposal style guidelines, designed the cover art, managed the proposal layout using Adobe InDesign, and supported authors using Adobe InCopy. Throughout each 60+ day proposal process, Marty was a true professional, demonstrating respect for his customers and colleagues, finding solutions to difficult challenges, and delivering excellent work on time.
